(Universal) love
Born to...
I was born to love and to bless, and that's all; and that's all I know, I know no more.

Sympathy is complicated
I knew my asking "You all right?" was silly for I clearly knew she was not fine at all , that's why she coldly answered: "Yes I am." and then added: "You know one can't feel all right in this kind of situation." Actually I meant: "Are you feeling a little bit better?" and, in fact, I did not really mean to ask her a question, but to say, instead: "I am sorry for you and I do sympathize (and I love you)." but these are not things I am used to saying. Maybe I'd had better not to say anything but I wanted to show I cared. There's one thing I wish I could have done to show my support: giving her a hug; but I know that it is the last thing she would like me to do.

Private lesson
"When the lesson is over she stands up and leaves without even looking at me, and says goodbye in a detached, cool-sounding way." For a while I hate her for doing so. Then I love her again, for I know that she cares, in fact. She does care."

Marion in Lyon
Marion. She looked so happy during my two day stay at Lyon. She has been anorexic for several years now. But last weekend, she ate pancakes, chocolates, sweets and a delicious meal made by a friend of hers. I stared at the scars on her forearms, on her wrists, up to her hands...I wanted to heal her by a touch of my fingers, but I am not magic. She's so pretty. I hope she'll stop thinking about Death.

This is why I love my teachers
(or one of the reasons why I do) Ludivine
I am sorry that you felt your oral exam. did not go well, and I sincerely hope that the two weeks' break from the university, staying with your parents, will help you feel less stressed and regain a little confidence.
You really should not feel humiliated about anything, or devalue yourself. There are indeed some technical or academic aspects of your course that you find hard and uncongenial, but I can assure you that your spoken and your written English are really good and fluent, and should be an asset for you if you can build up your self-esteem. I hope that this will be the case if you are able to go to Ireland next semester.
Best wishes,
H. C.
