(Mystical) poetry

Bloody Rose

Don't "steal" love from whom does not want to give it to you.

The rose hath ne’er meant to make a lover bleed

One should find content in mere contemplation

Plucking the flower is nothing but a misdeed

Hence the stem I hold hath to bring affliction.

To her

I have borne the grief of absence all my life

And thought I would learn to lower such painful strife

But my heart is not that warrior who whene'er hit

Asketh for more blows and finds hardness in it.

No, the more it yearneth, the weaker it becomes

Shedding bitter tears for the face so handsome

Which it can no longer contemplate. O absence!

Thou foe of all lovers, who damned my existence!

Fey's eyes

*°*~~ She said this place looks like hell
Many people's souls are ugly
But she said if you look them well
You'll see some of them are holy.
Looking at the world through the eyes
Of a fey is sometimes eerie
But when the fey is fine and wise
You may catch sight of Faerie.*°*~~

Françoise

I wish I had a picture of the very first English teacher with whom I fell in love. Sigh.

Lost in feelings of pain
I was moaning again
Far away the sun rose
In shades of blue and rose
I went to the classroom
Where I saw the flowers
I thought about my doom
And sadly I told her:
"Oh they are so pretty
It would be a pity
To die when such beauty
Lies before my eyes
And she, who was so wise
Answered: "Oh yes indeed
T'would be a senseless deed."
And I did believe her
Because of the sunrise
Because of the flowers
And because in her eyes
Lay the holy answer.

Icon

I wish I'd die as a young girl
But not until I've given
The trove I carry from heaven
My inner -priceless- holy pearl.

I would live as a shooting star
I'd rise high and go very far
My love I would give it to all
But I'd not wait for my downfall

Yes, for the whole world I'd shine
I'd make thousands of hearts mine
And die before those I love
Join me to the welkin above.

New poem

(This blog must be boring, it hardly ever has new comments).

Never mind.

To my favourite teacher (yes I sent it to her!!!):

I used to hear shadows whispering to my ear

That the Earth is a world of evil I must fear

and loathe and leave. For no God here below

Seems to exist, or if He does he never shows.

Ah but to look at you was to look at Heaven

There I found my faith and delight and even

The will and strength to walk on the path of my life

Enjoying more beauty and suffering less strife.

O please show me your divinity again

Then I'll no more mind what yore caused me pain

For as soon as I stare at you all evil is behind

You’re the light in my heart and brightness in my mind.

Languor

No good is to be found in the state of languor

Yearning and waiting do not bring inspiration

And I can't find out the verse I'm looking for

Those that'd tell you my love and admiration.

But what I will tell you, from the deep of my heart

Is that you're a blessing from which my soul won't part

Without suffering a pain I can't say nor sing

For the comfort it needeth only you can bring.
